Mercy General: privacy policy

Mercy General is a game by Conley Interactive. This policy covers the game on PC and on Android, including its free first chapter and its demo, and this website.

In short: the game collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it doesn't go online.

What we collect

Nothing. The game doesn't send anything about you, your device or how you play to us or to anyone else. On Android it doesn't even ask for internet access.

What stays on your device

Your saves and settings, and a diagnostics log that helps with bug reports. They stay on your device. The log only leaves it if you copy it yourself (Settings, "Copy diagnostics") and choose to send it to us.

Playtest notes

These are off unless you turn on "Keep playtest notes" in Settings. While they're on, the game keeps a record of each level you play, such as the stars, the time it took and what went wrong, with your device model and screen size. The notes stay on your device, and "Clear them" in Settings deletes them. They only leave it if you copy them, or on PC save them to a file, and choose to send them to us.

Backups on Android

Android can include the game's saves and settings in your phone's own backup, under your phone's backup settings, so they come back if you reinstall. That backup is handled by Google, and we never see it.

Purchases

On Android, the one-time purchase that unlocks the full game is handled by Google Play, under Google's privacy policy. On PC, the game is sold on Steam, under Valve's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.

The Steam link in the demo

The PC demo can show a "Wishlist on Steam" button. It only does something when you click it: it opens the game's page on Steam, where Valve's privacy policy applies. The game itself sends nothing.

Children

The game collects nothing from anyone, children included.

This website

conleygames.com sets no cookies and has no analytics or ads. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which handles each connection under its own privacy policy.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
